Mission

Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice (HUEJ) has a dual purpose, to both educate and mobilize members of the Harvard and surrounding community in order to protect the Earth’s resources and ecosystems.

Political Action

HUEJ takes targeted political actions to further environmental justice efforts in the campus, city, state, and country. These actions include managing issue-focused campaigns, campaigning for pro-environmental candidates, and lobbying for pro-environmental legislation.

Educational Outreach

HUEJ raises awareness of issues relating to environmental justice and trains Harvard students to become advocates for those issues. HUEJ is currently developing a curriculum dedicated to environmental justice and the disproportionate impacts of climate change on populations around the world.
